Adam Darski remembers late Slayer guitar tech Armand Crump

I’m speechless… I was waiting the whole day with this statement, and I still lack any inspiration. But let me try anyway… This guy became Behemoth’s friend from day one we met. We shared the stage with Slayer several times and he’s always been the one who let me sneak through the backline and watch the whole set. I remember when we opened for Slayer in Poland who would go there on stage checking Kerry’s guitar and played the main riff from “Conquer All” making me proud as fuck. Plus he’s always had a cold Heineken for me in the fridge. Slayer live plus cold beer. You can’t beat it. These are BIG things for me, Armand. Your energy is still around…and will always be missed!

Behemoth’s Nergal Promises U.S. Tour Will Be “Most Satanic” Tour Ever

metalfact:

“Full Metal Jackie recently spoke with Adam “I Kicked Cancer’s Ass” Darski, and he said that the outpouring of support from the metal community last year when his health took a shit was very touching.

“I’ve said that several times already that I would never expect the extreme metal community to be that sympathetic, to be that empathetic, for all of these people to feel for me so much and to just send all the messages and emails all of the post I’ve seen on several forums,” starts Nergal. “It was cool, it was really cool. It was really encouraging and having in mind this massive support coming from people who I consider our fans, it was really helpful and it was very encouraging, as I said. It’s not just me and my family behind my back, in a way it’s my new family, I consider all these people as a family in way, you know, so it’s an extreme metal family. [Laughs] So it’s awesome, it feels good that there is people that have so much support and have so much faith in you and that you really mean something to them and you can’t overrate it. It’s amazing, yeah; it’s killer. I mean, I’m speechless.”

Nergal also promised Behemoth’s upcoming tour would be so evil, mass miscarriages would occur within five miles of every stop on their tour the night they play. He didn’t say that, exactly.

“We’re doing Poland now. It’s a warm-up tour and then we’re starting with Cannibal Corpse in February in Europe and actually we’re putting final touches to a U.S. tour which will start on April 12,” Nergal begins. “The lineup is still a secret, but probably within days or weeks it’s going to be revealed to the world. All I got to say now, because I’m not really allowed to reveal any names, but it’s like a dream team tour for me. It’s going to be very underground, very dangerous and when we go on tours, especially in the U.S., we’ve always compromised to be on a bill with bands, bigger bands, smaller bands it doesn’t matter.”“
